About Fitch's Folly

Who I am
Education & Qualifications
I’m Tim Fitch— Graduate Gemologist, Bench Jeweler, CAD Designer, and Owner of Fitch's Folly Fine Jewelry. Jewelry is more than my profession—it’s been my lifelong passion, and I’m proud to offer our clients custom, meaningful pieces made with care and precision.
A Lifelong Passion for Jewelry
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been drawn to the beauty and meaning behind jewelry. At just five years old, I found myself captivated by gemstones—their colors, textures, and the way each one tells its own story. That early fascination never left me. As I grew older, I realized that creating jewelry wasn’t just a hobby—it was the career I wanted to dedicate my life to.

After high school, I took the next step toward turning my passion into a profession. I enrolled at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the most respected gemological school in the world, where I gained a deep knowledge of gemstones and their characteristics. From there, I trained at the New Approach School for Jewelers in Tennessee, learning bench jeweler techniques and fine craftsmanship. Today, I combine these traditional skills with CAD design, allowing me to create precise, custom pieces that start as digital models and come to life at the bench.
Our Values
At the core of my work is a commitment to sustainability and customization. I use ethically sourced materials and collaborate closely with each client to design pieces that are truly personal. Whether it’s a custom engagement ring, a special anniversary piece, or something you’ve always dreamed of wearing, I strive to make the experience easy, enjoyable, and exactly what you envisioned.
For me, jewelry isn’t just about luxury—it’s about connection, meaning, and craftsmanship that lasts.
Looking Ahead
As I continue to grow, I’m always looking for ways to improve the experience I offer my clients. Currently, I’m working toward adding a casting setup to my studio. This will allow me to streamline the production process, reduce wait times, and have more control over the quality and craftsmanship of each piece from start to finish.
I’m also planning to go back to school, starting with an engraving course offered by the New Approach School for Jewelers, so I can offer even more personalized touches—whether that’s a meaningful message, a special date, or a unique detail that makes your jewelry truly one-of-a-kind.
My goal is to keep expanding my skills and services, while staying true to what matters most: creating thoughtful, custom jewelry with care, precision, and integrity.
